My position is purely a research role. My lab focuses on advanced omics techniques to understand the microbiome’s role in the interface of host and pathogen biology. My expertise primarily spans the One Health Continuum, focusing primarily on human and biomedical models with an extensive background in monogastric food animal species, companion animals, and cattle. Additional projects include the application of new bioinformatics pipelines and developing benchmarking strategies, the development of dashboards (R, Python, Shiny), standardization, the evaluation of biotherapeutics and pharmaceuticals on the microbiome, and environmental metagenomics. I work as well on the bench as I do in silico. Expertise: Data Science, R, Shiny, Python, metagenomics, microbiota analyses, WGS (ONT, PBS, Illuminia), microbiology, immunology, host-pathogen biology, microbiome sciences, molecular biology, methods development and improvement.
