About Kathleen Callahan

I\'m a New England-based UX content designer and content editor.(Which is like having those roles anywhere else, but with more maple syrup, foliage, and LL Bean boots.) ​As a UX content designer, I work closely with teammates in design, product, and development to design creative solutions for the people who use our tools. I get to know what motivates those people and what they need to accomplish. With that knowledge, I design content that guides them to their goals. It\'s satisfying to get to the end of a design process and hand off pixel-perfect, well-tested designs to development. But I also enjoy the beginning and messy middle of the design process. Brainstorming, sketching, researching, testing, debating, defending, iterating—these are the things that make working in UX fun. ​As an editor, I work with writers to polish up their writing until it\'s easy to read and error free. Editing is all about letting go of your own ego and authorial voice to let someone else\'s writing shine.
