Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity calculations, and tender documents for road construction, maintenance, and rehabilitation projects under the PWD. Good knowledge of road works, relevant standards (PWD/MORTH), and estimating techniques to ensure projects are planned and budgeted effectively.*Key Responsibilities*:1.Project Estimation & Costing.2.Prepare detailed estimates for road construction, widening, strengthening, and repair works.3.Calculate material quantities (earthwork, bitumen, aggregates, concrete, steel, etc.) as per approved drawings.4.Prepare cost breakups based on PWD Schedule of Rates (SOR) and MORTH specifications.*Tender Documentation:* 1.Assist in preparation of BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and tender documents.2.Ensure estimates comply with relevant government rules and departmental guidelines.*Technical Analysis:* 1.Study DPRs (Detailed Project Reports), drawings, and site conditions to prepare accurate estimates.2.Recommend cost-effective construction methods and material choices.*Coordination & Liaison:* 1.Coordinate with engineers, survey teams, and contractors for technical data.2.Liaise with procurement teams for updated material rates.*Compliance & Standards:* 1.Ensure all estimates follow PWD norms, IRC codes, and quality standards.2.Maintain updated knowledge of SOR revisions and new construction technologies.
