Planned and designed projects with host country partners, developing grants and funding proposals, and oversee grant administration for our portfolio, including M&E, reporting, and relationship-building with funders and colleague organizations. The most current projects completed included the Sustainable Transformation of Youth in Liberia (STYL), an eight-week psychosocial and cash transfer intervention that offers rigorous evidence and an innovative model that allows child soldiers, former fighters, and at-risk street youth to reduce violence and organize crime and effectively rehabilitate and reintegrate beneficiaries into mainstream society through the integrated delivery of simple, effective, proven and low-cost interventions. STYL findings are reported in “Reducing crime and violence: Experimental evidence of behavior change and cash transfers,” Second, a social and economic reintegration program for 81 child soldiers and former fighters from the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana was reintegrated in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia, in partnership with Mediators Beyond Borders International (https://mediatorsbeyondborders.org).
