ABOUT BEATE KLÖSGEN

Originally educated in general physics with a German Diploma I soon turned my interest towards experimental physics, applied for the life sciences. Currently holding a position as Associate Professor at SDU in Odense I enjoy combining scientific interest and basic research in soft matter bio-mimetic materials with sharing knowledge with my science community, and a diverse audience, from school students to all levels of university students, technicians, and industrial project partners. Being linked by a common project is fun, and will result in success!Skills: experimental physics, biophysical chemistry; biophysics, soft condensed matter, bio-mimetics, and related applications; preparative and physico-chemical methods, scattering with neutrons and X-rays, optical and electron microscopy; scientific writing and teaching;languages: German (mother tongue), English (fluent), Danish (fluent); French (basic); Spanish (basic)
