ABOUT KLAUS LESSNAU

I am one of eight board-certified interventional pulmonologists in New York State. There are six of us in Manhattan. And I have the privilege to work with one of the main world experts in the field. And we love LCAT = lung cancer ablation therapy. We take care of patients from many countries to fix their lung cancer. I think that we are the most advanced team for lung cancer treatment in the world.I am a re-recertified ABIM board certified specialist in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care Medicine and Sleep Medicine. My areas of interest include pulmonary physiology (I was the medical director of the pulmonary physiology laboratory at Lenox Hill), cardiothoracic intensive care medicine (I work with the cardiothoracic surgeons at Lenox Hill), tuberculosis (I used to work with the NYC Department of Health, Bureau of Tuberculosis Control, at the height of the tuberculosis epidemic with Tom Frieden), COPD, bronchoscopy, sleep disorders, asthma, chest ultrasound (I am co-editor of a book on thoracic ultrasound and multiple publications), smoking cessation, lung cancer and medical pleuroscopy (a cutting edge procedure).I have been a reviewer for multiple medical journals.Specialties: I develop innovations and patents in Medicine.
