ABOUT KLAUS GIL
Mr. Klaus Gil is a MSc mining engineer with over 18 years of progressive experience, focused as a geotechnical/tailings engineer and project manager specializing in mine waste and construction projects. Klaus has led several mining projects, gathering strong experience in the management of detailed Tailing’s engineering projects as well as construction quality assurance (CQA). In addition to Canada and Spain, he has been involved in construction projects in Venezuela, Costa Rica, and Honduras. Klaus managed detailed designs and issued for construction (IFC) sets for the upstream expansion of a Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) for a copper mine in and for an in-pit tailings facility at a gold mine, in Spain. Canadian works involved Dam Safety Review and geotechnical field investigations. His most recently positions are EoR (deputy) for a Gold Mine and as a senior reviewer for mine waste projects in a Nickel mine/refinery in Ontario and for a large TSF in Peru. Klaus holds the status as a Professional Engineer P.Eng.(BC, Yukon, and Ontario), PMP® certification and is a mining Chartered Engineer by Spanish Mining Engineers Association COIMCE, as well as by European Engineers Association.
