Key Responsibilities:• Lead a team of researchers (both PhD and non-PhD) to provide comprehensive pharmacology support for Absci’s internal and partnered programs focused on developing novel antibody therapeutics.• Direct the conceptualization, design, and execution of in-vitro, ex-vivo and in-vivo pharmacology work packages across various drug development stages, including target validation, lead generation, lead optimization, and preclinical candidate development.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely program execution, milestone achievement, and Go/NoGo decisions.• Provide technical and strategic support to Business Development and partnering activities.• Develop, present, and discuss scientific and strategic program directions with key stakeholders.• Contribute expert opinion and guidance as a member of program governance bodies and the senior leadership team.• Coordinate with Program Management, Portfolio, and Strategy leadership for resource and budget planning, timeline management, and regular strategic evaluations.• Manage work packages at CROs to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.• Train and mentor direct reports, fostering the development of novel skill sets and enhanced team functionality.
