About Kim Kokich

A lifelong advocate for arts education, I bring a diverse background in communications and organization development to my work. My career began in broadcast journalism, where I had the privilege of learning from top writers and editors, interviewing influential artists and newsmakers. This experience instilled in me a deep appreciation for storytelling and effective, accurate communication. I am passionate about fostering collaborative environments and believe in the power of diverse perspectives. Recently I combined my love for the arts and communications at CityDance Conservatory, where I highlighted the remarkable work of its talented students, faculty, and staff. SUMMARYAs Communications & Development Specialist I collaboratively developed and implemented communications initiatives for the organization, its programs, and activities. I promoted awareness and recognition of the organization to a broad and diverse constituency, wrote features for our website, developing key messages, and supporting fundraising activities. I assisted and collaborated regularly with the CEO, senior staff, and contract positions.As Program Advisor at American University (AU), I managed the Master of Science in Organization Development (MSOD) degree program. I counseled, and guided graduate students from initial enrollment through graduation. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, I was responsible for running the entire MSOD program, including course scheduling, faculty appointments and reappointments, monitoring the program budget as well as preparing contracts for adjunct faculty, part-time learning community facilitators, coaches and practicum advisors.
