ABOUT KATARINA J.
Senior Psychology and Religious Studies honours double major at UT Austin. After graduating, I plan to pursue an PhD in Clinical Psychology with a research focus on the neurogenetics of adolescent psychosis. I am currently Lead Research Assistant in the Harden Lab at the UT Dept. of Psychology, part of an adolescent rTMS clinical trial team at UT’s Dell Medical School, and have had extensive clinical training across inpatient pediatric psychiatric, outpatient ECT, and residential schizophrenia units. I am also actively involved in campus life as the advanced instructor at the Texas Ballet student organisation and as a TA for the Psychology Department. I trained and worked in professional ballet for nine years, studying and performing across the world in Russia, Germany, Monaco, London, and Chicago. While in training academies, I completed my secondary school education and earned my U.K. Diploma in Professional Dance (equivalent to U.S. Associates Degree) after researching, writing, and defending my dissertation. After sustaining a serious hip injury while working in early 2021, I decided to transition back into academia.
