About Kj Swanson
Kj Swanson, Senior Specialist, Franchise Development and Story (she/her/hers) has always been driven by a keen interest in the ways we tell, interpret, and internalize story. Kj earned her PhD at the University of St Andrews within the Institute for Theology, Imagination and the Arts, following an MDiv from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology and an undergraduate degree in Theatre Arts from Bennington College.In her role at Vizir, Kj draws from her training as a dramaturg and director and her experience in higher education and academic publishing in order to codify canon for fictional universes, craft creative educational initiatives, and simply help tell good stories—the heart and ethos of Kj’s work. Her multi-decade collaboration with Ian Klein also includes scholarly conferences, script editing, and cocktail menu creation.
