Instead of jumping straight into a new role, I’ve decided to take time off to travel, pursue professional development, and volunteer with organizations whose missions I’m passionate about. In the last couple of months I’ve traveled to Poland, France, and Sicily, exploring 6 cities between the 3 countries while simultaneously completing an online course in Business Analytics at Wake Technical College. This course equipped me with a strong foundation in SQL, and taught me to clean, summarize, and analyze data via Excel. Back in the States, I’m now working to complete the Google Digital Marketing & E-commerce Professional Certificate. My favorite volunteering experience so far has been packing lunches for food insecure children with P.A.C.K. in Savannah, GA. This organization provides lunches, clothing, and a sense of normalcy to children experiencing homelessness, food insecurity, and/or who are navigating the foster care system. Finally, I’ve improved my Spanish skills through regular language exchange meetings, in-app learning, and web modules. I now hold a B1 level of fluency.
