With over 25 years of experience leading and participating in international nuclear projects as a project manager and principal researcher for multi-million-dollar, multi-year projects, I have successfully led commissioning campaigns in computational analyses of neutronics, radiation shielding, criticality, radiation detection instrumentation, and safeguards sciences, leading to first-of-a-kind (FOAK) prototypes and commercialization.Some notable FOAKs are a full-scale muon cargo container scanner, a Li-6 pulse mode ion chamber array, a soil residual radioactivity scanner with real-time, online isotopic analysis, and a patent for neutron moderator materials and application method.I am natively fluent in English & Korean, able to lead and coordinate with ease in a multicultural, highly technical work environment. I am an expert in particle interaction simulation and active and passive radiation detection instrumentation R&D. I have developed a wide range of radiation detector platforms for safeguards and homeland security applications, from conceptualization to completion of the full product cycle to commercialization.
