With an IT & consulting background, I have acquired a blend of strategic & operational experience in various industry sectors. Recently moved from the ONS on loan to the Cabinet Office C-19 Task Force, serving in the directorate that provides the Prime Minister and Cabinet with the best evidence and analysis of policy options to defeat C-19.Previously, ONS responsibilities included - analysing needs from data governance/management perspective; constructing data models & design-patterns; identifying/ defining data standards; supporting metadata management capability and implementation of data governance framework; performing data analysis/synthesis, supporting all stages of data journey. In PHE, I have worked collaboratively with the internal team & NHS Digital to undertake ‘due diligence’ on data collections. Role actively involved - critically assessing the business need, processes and data flows; engaging/managing stakeholders; eliciting requirements - capturing user stories (Scrum/Kanban approach); leading discussions (with multi-disciplinary teams) to assess the as-is/to-be context; devising hierarchical business process models and drafting data flow diagrams; reviewing functional/technical specifications; reviewing/probing data processing systems/APIs; validating acceptance criteria and system implementation; constructing due-diligence artefacts and supporting ministerial submissions.Previously, in Mednet Ltd, I have worked with global leaders in the health and social care industry, conducting primary & secondary research & analysis on complex datasets involving analytical modelling of real-world business problems followed by architecting corresponding creative solutions; generating & presenting insights to support decision-making; developing, implementing & commercialising innovative solutions; overseeing development & delivery of large-scale, high-profile projects; leading on data strategy; undertaking full lifecycle (agile) requirements elicitation, conducting gap analysis, user-stories product-backlog-management & building functional/technical specifications; running scrum meetings; facilitating workshops; managing risks/issue logs/budget; & overseeing DevOps.
