About Kishore Jayaraman

I believe that businesses begin and end with people, and the best people have the passion to go the extra mile. I came into my role as President for India & South Asia at the time when Rolls-Royce was transitioning from licensed production to engineering services and component manufacturing. My goal was to build capabilities through empowered teams thereby enabling Rolls-Royce to grow sustainably. Over time, Rolls-Royce has expanded its engineering, digital, supply chain and manufacturing footprint in India, and is better positioned to capture emerging opportunities. We benefited from bold decision-making, knowledge of the upcoming opportunities, and most importantly, a remarkable team with a dream – a dream to grow and serve our organisation and the broader ecosystem. While working at GE for 23 years, across sectors, geographies and roles, shaped much of my learning, my learning journey still continues at Rolls-Royce. I learned the value of having a core set of shared beliefs that builds trust and inspires confidence and passion with clearly articulated goals. Thinking about how I can make a difference and add value every moment motivates me. I want to be able to look back at the end of each day and say, ‘It was a great day. I have made a difference’. Being exposed to the power of science from a very young age led me to pursue studies in Mechanical Engineering and complete my Masters from Oklahoma State University. Later, I rounded-off my skills with an MBA degree from University of Georgia, Athens. I enjoy reading about world affairs, emerging economies, human history and Geo-politics. Fictions and crime thriller movies never fail to entertain me. When time permits, I try my hand at cricket, golf and tennis.
