ABOUT KISHLAY KANT SINGH

As a Biotech scholar, I am deeply passionate about exploring the dynamic intersections of life sciences and technology. My journey is driven by a commitment to understanding the complex inner workings of molecular biology and biotechnology, and I aspire to make meaningful contributions in these fields. I recently completed a one-month summer training program at DNA Labs, Dehradun, where I gained hands-on experience in Cell & Molecular Biology, Virology, and Recombinant DNA Technology. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Narottam Sharma and Dr. Ankita Singh, I mastered techniques such as Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), sample collection, nucleic acid extraction, DNA/RNA quantification, and Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR). During this time, I earned 2nd position (Silver Medal) for my oral presentation on \'Competent Cell Preparation of E. coli DH5-alpha & Its Transformation Efficacy using plasmid pUC-19\' at the National Workshop on Next-Gen Oncology Diagnostics. Currently, I\'m appointed as a Project Fellow for a government-funded Liquid Waste Management (UBA-LWM) project at Shobhit University. The project focuses on eco-friendly wastewater treatment for a local paper mill, utilizing natural agents like neem and parali. My role involves conducting various experiments, performing data analysis, and contributing to the research findings and reporting. In addition to my laboratory training, I have served as a Campus Executive for IIT Roorkee and Liquid Trees, where I honed my leadership, communication, and organizational skills. I also holds MOOC certification from IIT Guwahati & IIT Kanpur, further strengthening my academic foundation. Having published few Review Articles, Research Papers & a Book Chapter, along with practical experience in molecular biology and bioinformatics tools, I am confident in my ability to contribute innovative ideas to the field of biotechnology.
