As the CEO, I oversee all public transportation services in Stark County. We employ 200 people with an annual budget of $18 million. In 2013, SARTA transported 2.7 million rides. SARTA operates the busiest Compress Natural Gas (CNG) facility in Ohio. It was the first transit system in the state to have its own smart phone app, the first to become a certified Medicaid transportation provider, and partnered to construct the first reverse flow bike lane.
