Strategic Transformation - Governance - Highly Regulated IndustryIn an increasingly complex and uncertain world, Kirsty is keen to make a difference by bringing her knowledge, skills and experience to serve organisations whose purpose resonates with her values. Her prime areas of interest are in the delivery of the UK’s ambitions regarding net zero, energy security and enhanced national security - and their link to driving economic growth, especially in the North of England. Kirsty brings over 3 decades of nuclear industry experience, where she has held a wide range of senior leadership roles both in the UK and internationally, with a focus on strategic transformation in a highly regulated safety-critical industry.Kirsty is a Chartered Director, a Fellow of the Nuclear Institute, holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Manchester, an MBA from Lancaster University and the IOD Diploma in Board Performance (Distinction). She is a certified Black Belt in Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing and has a track record in developing and delivering strategic initiatives to bring positive organizational change, through employing a collaborative, open and approachable leadership style. Kirsty is recognised for her passionate support of the nuclear industry and its important role in delivering UK energy security and Net Zero. She is a committed mentor to early career professionals, especially women and others that feel under-represented in the sector, and has championed diversity and inclusion throughout her career.
