As a recent graduate in Bioinformatics and Computer Science, I am preparing to begin my J.D. studies at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law this fall. I’m currently preparing for the patent bar with the goal of becoming a patent attorney, where I can merge my technical background with a passion for law and innovation. My academic and professional journey has equipped me with strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of technology, and the ability to solve complex problems creatively. From developing algorithms to collaborating on interdisciplinary teams, I enjoy tackling challenges at the intersection of science, technology, and legal strategy. I bring a unique perspective shaped by diverse experiences—from serving as a missionary in Sweden, where I developed adaptability and cross-cultural communication skills, to internships in engineering and marketing, where I learned to thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments. I’m deeply committed to using my legal training not only to protect and advance innovation but also to give back through pro bono work and community engagement. Having grown up in challenging circumstances, I value resilience, advocacy, and equity—principles that continue to shape both my personal and professional goals. Driven by a belief in the power of law, logic, and language to create lasting change, I look forward to building a career where I can make a meaningful impact.
