ABOUT KIRSTEN ANDERSON

As an accomplished IT leader, I am responsible for overseeing the technology strategy, service, and support for a 2,200-employee organization, managing an annual operating budget of $4.2M. My role involves transforming the Information Technology function from a traditional hardware provider to a strategic business partner, aligning IT capabilities to better support the organization. By restructuring and leading a 15-person IT team, I ensured alignment with business needs and enhanced operational efficiency.I have been instrumental in championing and implementing formal IT governance frameworks (COBIT), creating transparency and ensuring that technology decisions align with organizational goals. Additionally, I strengthened audit, business continuity, and vendor management practices to mitigate risk.A key milestone in my career was leading a $12M digital transformation program at Catholic Social Services, which included new HR/Payroll (Dayforce) and Finance (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central) systems. These two systems, which went live in October 2023, significantly reduced payroll risks, achieved 95% pay accuracy, and enabled innovative features like on-demand pay for employees. As part of this project we implemented a purchasing module tied to the financial system and moved from paper financial approval processes to system approvals, improving financial controls and efficiency.I am currently leading the roll-out of a new Client Case Management system (Salesforce Non-Profit Cloud), which will be fully implemented by December 2024, reducing complexity and enhancing organizational visibility and compliance. My expertise also extends to cybersecurity, where I developed and launched an agency-wide awareness program and established a cybersecurity framework and assessment process. Additionally, I assumed leadership of the Payroll function in 2021, stabilizing the team and reducing operational risks, all while leading stakeholder engagement for the agency\'s digital transformation.
