ABOUT KIRSTEN SMYTH

Kirsten Smyth, Nurse Practitioner, is the Chief Operating Officer of Best In Class MD (BICMD), where she leads operations, clinical strategy, and growth initiatives for the company’s expert medical opinion and surgical Center of Excellence programs serving the workers’ compensation, liability, and disability markets.Kirsten brings a unique combination of clinical and operational leadership to the organization. Prior to joining BICMD, she spent eight years at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, the nation’s #1 ranked orthopedic hospital, where she worked alongside world-renowned orthopedic surgeons managing complex musculoskeletal conditions and surgical care.At BICMD, Kirsten oversees clinical operations, physician network development, and strategic partnerships with insurers, TPAs, employers, and healthcare systems. She works closely with leading specialists across the country to deliver independent medical opinions, specialty consultations, and bundled surgical care through BICMD’s Center of Excellence network.Her work focuses on improving the quality, transparency, and efficiency of specialty medical care within complex insurance and injury claims environments.
