About Kirsten Haas

I started my career with Carpenter Technology, a U.S. based specialty steel manufacturer, where I held various roles in sales, marketing and commercial product management. Post-Carpenter, I took a different direction in my professional journey at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts as a Community Ambassador; at Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom as the office manager; and at the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance as the Membership Director. I recently served as Executive Director of Girls on the Run of Berks County, joining the team during the pandemic and building back the organization to move into a strong future. I now serve as Executive Director of Publishing Services at Hoffmann Publishing. I am a native of Hawaii (in the “I was born there” sense, not in the ancestral sense); grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia; and currently reside in Reading, PA. I enjoy (who am I kidding? I LOVE it!) college football (the Georgia Bulldogs first, SEC teams second, and then everyone else), reading, running (sort of.I did complete the Marine Corps Marathon in 2013 and have completed at least half-dozen half-marathons, nine 10K Peachtree Road Races, numerous 5K and two sprint-distance triathlons), watching Jeopardy!(I was a contestant on the 06/24/2021 episode with Savannah Guthrie!), writing and vodka martinis (three olives, no more, no less).
