About Kirsten Miller

My approach to design balances pragmatism and empathy: I love a good feature matrix, but I understand that getting there requires a deep understanding of the people who will be engaging with those features — how they think, what they want, and what they feel when using your product. I can offer your team deep experience in UX design, with over 14 years supporting and leading creative teams, including at digital studios Razorfish and frog. I bring expertise in the full gamut of user-centered design practices, from user research, personas, and journeys to ideation, conceptual design, iteration, user testing, and detailed interaction design and documentation. In recent years I\'ve collaborated with product managers in Agile teams, built interactive prototypes, and worked with design system libraries. My current career goal is to enrich a highly collaborative digital product team as a senior individual contributor. I have held manager and director positions in the past, but what I learned in those positions is that I much prefer a collaborative, hands-on design role. And having experienced some of the challenges of managing, I bring a lot of empathy for those who do manage people and their work.
