ABOUT KIRKLEY THOMAS
I have over three decades of experience in governmental affairs, public affairs and economic development. I served as a professional staff member in the United States Senate and a leader in community and economic development in the public and private sectors (Arkansas Economic Development Commission and the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas). Most recently, I served as Vice President of Governmental Affairs for nearly a decade for the Electric Cooperatives of Arkansas, leading their lobbying efforts in the Arkansas General Assembly in Little Rock and in the United States Congress in Washington, D.C. After 25 years with the electric cooperatives, I retired and now consult with energy, political and agricultural related entities. Awards and honors include: Arkansas Business “Arkansas 250” that highlights the 250 most influential Arkansans, 40 Under 40, Arkansas Money & Politics Influencer of the Year, Southern Economic Development Council Honorary Life Member, Maria Haley Lifetime Leadership for Economic Development Award and Arkansas Delta Byways Tourism Person of the Year.
