ExxonMobil has interests in three producing deepwater blocks (Blocks 15, 17, and 32) covering nearly 3 million gross acres in Angola. These blocks contain world-class development opportunities and have a gross recoverable resource potential of approximately 9 billion oil-equivalent barrels. Across these blocks, our net production in Angola averaged 100 thousand barrels of oil per day in 2024. Block 15ExxonMobil was awarded operatorship of Block 15 in 1994; the first discovery was made in 1998.Esso Exploration Angola (Block 15) Ltd, as operator, holds a 36% interest in the block. Other coventurers are Azule Energy Exploration (Angola) Limited (24%), Azule Energy Angola BV.(18%), Equinor Angola Block 15 A.S.(12%) and Sonangol Exploração e Produção, S.A.(10%). The group holds rights to explore, develop and produce in Block 15 acreage of 1044 km² acres) offshore Angola.Block 15 has 19 discoveries, with total recoverable resource of approximately 3 billion barrels of oil.First oil was produced in 2003 from the Xikomba development project, followed by startups at Kizomba A (2004), Kizomba B (2005), Marimba North (2007), Kizomba C-Mondo and Kizomba C-Saxi/Batuque (2008), Kizomba Satellites Phase 1 (2012) and Kizomba Satellites Phase 2 (2015).Since start of oil production in 2003, Block 15 has produced over 2.7 billion barrels of oil.
