Also involved in working parties looking at site plant use and related safety issues, together with preparation of best practice guides and common standards.
ABOUT KIRK ROBINSON
Construction Manager (mainly non-residential) from 1982 to when I joined the Health & Safety department as H S&E Manager. Experience in most aspects of commercial construction from demolition, piling (sheet, bored, CFA & driven), groundworks, etc through to final decoration and handover. Also railway and undergroud experience, working on tunnels, bridges and other infrastructure works. On-site experience as a CM has paid dividends as a safety professional as I can take a balanced view of issues, and generally help to find a safe way of solving problems. Long-term goal would be to get involved in Nuclear and/or marine construction. Specialties: Cranes & lifting operations, structural steel erection, in-situ concrete frames, construction plant issues, excavations
