As a Senior VoIP Architect in the Custom Engineering team at RingCentral, I design, implement, and support advanced communication solutions tailored to meet the complex requirements of enterprise customers. I collaborate closely with Sales Engineering to develop proof-of-concept designs and assess customer environments to ensure seamless integration with RingCentral’s cloud communications platform.My daily work involves architecting custom integrations that bridge legacy PBX systems and customer-specific applications with our modern cloud infrastructure—whether via native SIP trunking, direct IP connectivity, or TDM-based gateway deployments.In addition to solution design, I play a key role in providing deep technical support for custom-engineered deployments, particularly in collaboration with our network operations and systems teams.Key Responsibilities- Partner with Sales and Sales Engineering on complex, strategic customer engagements- Design and implement dedicated SIP connectivity between customer environments and the RingCentral cloud- Develop and support customized voice solutions, including hybrid and legacy PBX integrations- Troubleshoot and resolve VoIP and interoperability issues across diverse platforms- Act as a primary technical escalation point for custom deployments- Define engineering standards, best practices, and technical documentation- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to VoIP engineers and cross-functional teams- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solution approaches- Oversee vendor coordination related to infrastructure and integration
