ABOUT KIRANMAYI VEDANTHAM
I am a Neuroscience PhD candidate at UConn Health, where I conduct novel research on the role of BK K+ ion channel (KCNMA1) in regulating sleep neuron excitability and information coding. My work has been recognized with multiple awards and travel grants, such as the poster presentation award at the Neuroscience Department Retreat and the IBRO travel grant to attend and present at an international conference in Spain. I have also applied my skills in statistics, PK/PD, and R programming to support the development of the nlmixr2 tool and build a model library for it as a pharmacometrics intern at Novartis. This experience has enhanced my understanding of translational research and its applications in healthcare. I am passionate about advancing healthcare through my involvement in cutting-edge research and innovation. Let\'s connect and collaborate for a healthier future.
