At Quest Diagnostics, I worked on a Diagnostic Logistics and Patient Engagement Optimization project aimed at improving sample tracking, lab result delivery, and billing workflows. The objective was to increase visibility across the testing process, enhance patient access to results, and reduce billing errors through system automation and integration.We implemented Lab Logistics for automated courier routing, Oracle ERP for lab intake tracking, MyQuest for enhanced patient result delivery, and WebEDI for billing and insurance processing. The project followed an Agile delivery approach, coordinating work across operations, IT, and billing departments.While gathering requirements, I led JAD sessions with operations, lab, and billing stakeholders to capture business needs, document current-state workflows, and identify pain points. I created detailed epics and user stories with acceptance criteria, along with process diagrams to support the design of integrated workflows between courier tracking, lab systems, and the patient portal. I worked closely with development teams to define data mapping requirements and integration logic, ensuring real-time status updates were visible to both patients and internal teams.During development, I partnered with technical teams to clarify requirements, reviewed design documents for accuracy, and ensured configuration aligned with business needs. In testing, I developed and executed test scenarios, ran SQL queries to validate data accuracy, and supported UAT by coordinating with end users and logging defect resolutions. By deployment, we had validated end-to-end processes that reduced sample tracking delays, improved billing accuracy, and enhanced patient satisfaction.
