ABOUT KIRAN WADHWANI

I’m a finance professional, currently working as a finance manager, involved in month end reporting, accounting policy and process improvements. At my last role as a Senior Manager, Reinsurance at Securian Canada, I oversaw the reinsurance operations and reporting for the newly acquired business, ensuring the smooth transition and set-up of new reporting processes. I also provided strategic guidance and support to the business units on reinsurance matters, such as treaty implementation and profitability analysis. I have a strong background in finance, accounting, and reporting, with over 7 years of experience in various roles and industries. Before joining Securian Canada, I was an Assistant Vice President, Regulatory Reporting at BNP Paribas, where I prepared and filed quarterly, monthly, and annual reports for the parent holding company, and presented report packages with in-depth variance analysis to senior management. I also contributed to the improvement of the production processes and the monitoring of regulatory policy changes. I hold a Chartered Accountant degree from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a CPA designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. I also have a Masters and Bachelors of Commerce from University of Delhi, India. I am passionate about delivering high-quality and timely results, leveraging my analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. I enjoy working with diverse and cross-functional teams, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies, and to explore new opportunities and challenges in the financial reporting domain.
