Programme Director at CSE with 30+ years in knowledge management, environmental communication and data journalism. Trained in research data science (CODATA/RDA), I promote digital literacy and data-driven-communication, through training programs across India and AfricaAs part of Down To Earth magazine’s editorial team, I focus on global environmental issues with a special emphasis on Africa. I co-author several flagship publications including State of India’s Environment in Figures, Climate India: Annual Assessment of Extreme Weather Events, State of States: Are We on Track to Achieve SDGs 2030, and State of Africa’s Environment 2024.I’ve also led pioneering digital knowledge platforms such as the India Environment Portal and India’s first interactive atlas on extreme weather events, aimed at strengthening data accessibility for researchers, journalists, and policymakers.I’ve been invited to speak and contribute at international forums, including COP20 (Lima, 2014), the Geospatial World Forum (Hyderabad, 2018),I was a contributing member of the 16-member international editorial team behind The Climate Knowledge Brokers Manifesto (2015), which advocates for informed decision-making in a climate-resilient future.
