Working Experience: CAE Durability Domain with 23 year experience and overall 25 years experience Education Qualification : M.Tech. Mechanical Engg (Machine Design) from IIT, Madras Career Summary: • Total 25+ years of experience, majority 23+ years in CAE Durability - automotive domain • Program handled – 0.5 ton to 65 ton (LCV to HCV) Commercial Vehicle Truck, Bus and defense vehicles for Tata Motors. This includes multiple existing and newly developed platforms starting with UV, SCV, ILCV, M & HCV category. • Platform conversion/migration from conventional fuel to CNG and Electric vehicles. • Played instrumental role in BS6, Increased axle load, RDE drives. • Estimate, plan and execute the Durability CAE simulations in-line with vehicle development program for various design stages- Concept development, Design release, Production release, Prototype and Field failure support. • Given counter-measures and CAE lead designs proposals. • FEA for strength/durability prediction; Validation of chassis, chassis aggregates, suspension, power train, drivetrain, BIW, and body exterior and interior systems. Handled aspect like optimization, correlation. • Generation of standard operating procedures for various analysis methods, process automation and cost/weight reduction program. • CAE tools used - Altair Hyperworks, MSC.Nastran, Abaqus, FEMFAT. • Closely interacting with different design CoC’s, vehicle integration, testing team during product development. Multiple times participated in cross functional team to deliver expected management targets. • Good experience in handling sizeable team, people management, project management, resource planning & organizing, new recruitment, mentoring trainees, team building & motivation, issue resolution. • Till the mid-span of career several papers were published & presented in CAE conferences and organizational level.
