Shift Supervisor - Operations Management.Client : John Lewis Patnership-Responsible for provision of day to day operational support and management of the IT infrastructure, supports the 24/7/365 presence in Operations Bridge, carries out agreed operational maintenance procedures of a routine nature and ensures that scheduled jobs, systems/database housekeeping and maintenance, are completed within agreed deadlines-Accountable for performing console operations i.e. monitoring the status of specific systems, job queues, and providing first-level intervention if appropriate and uses discretion in identifying and resolving complex problems and assignments and determining when the issue should be escalated-Delivers change requests for the Partnerships scheduling systems (TWS/IWS), delivering desired results in a timely fashion-Responsible for the management of batch loaded into the Partnership scheduling systems, performing problem determination, and carrying out ad-hoc requests for manipulation of the plan when required-Accountable for monitoring the Partnership’s IT infrastructure, monitoring performance of all Partnership websites and critical applications, provides initial incident and event recognition and uses infrastructure management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics i.e. database, network etc. Provides 1st, and some 2nd line support, escalating critical and major incidents to senior stakeholders-Support the incident management process taking action as specified in operating procedures and as directed by operations Partners, including escalation in house, and to engage with third party support when required-Represent the Operations Bridge in a variety of projects-Support continuous improvement within IT Operations, Carries out agreed project work, supports the build and maintenance of service management documentation and ensures compliance with quality management, risk management, security policies and procedures.
