About Kiran Anand
I currently work as a Specialist Solutions Architect in Databricks. In this role I primarily focus on the infrastructure, networking and security of Databricks solutions deployed on Microsoft Azure and AWS. As a specialist, I work very closely with customers and deep dive into various technical aspects of the their Databricks and Cloud deployments. Working on the data and AI ecosystem for specific customer needs is a rewarding experience. My previous experiences of working directly with customers as a data and AI architect in AWS and Cloudera, and leading a team of database experts in the engineering organization of a supply chain software organization helps me immensely in my current role.Prior to joing Databricks, I was a Principal Solutions Architect in the AWS where I worked on joint engineering engagements between customers and AWS, building prototype solutions across databases, analytics, AI/ML, BI & visualization, application & infrastructure modernization, and DataOps. And before that, I was a Principal Solutions Architect in the Center of Excellence (CoE) for Customer Adoption in Cloudera. In this role, I served as a field specialist where I created tools & utilities, developed collateral & blogs as well as served as an escalation point for field teams. My vast experience in working for Cloudera\'s Professional Services team before joining the CoE was an advantage. It guided me in recognizing the real customer needs and converting them into creative solutions, be it an automated tool or a technical blog.I started off as a software engineer and have assumed different roles in my career such as developer, development database administrator, production support DBA, data architect, manager for database engineering team, solutions architect for big data implementations. These role transitions and collaborative efforts have helped me in mastering various aspects of product solutions architecture, design and development.
