About Kipp Bradford
Kipp Bradford is the co-founder, former Chief Technology Officer, former Chief Innovation Officer, and inventor of the category-defining Gradient user-installable heat pump, for which he filed provisional patents in 2009.He is a world-renowned innovation expert and design engineer, and teaches at the Harvard University School of Engineering where he is part of the Masters of Design Engineering faculty. As an engineering researcher working at the boundaries of emerging technology and industries. He was a Presidential Fellow at Princeton University and contributes to the CHAOS Lab at the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment. He was previously a Research Scientist and Lecturer at the Yale University School of Architecture in the Center for Ecosystems in Architecture, and a senior Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab, hired as a result of the “Professor of Other” faculty search for an interdisciplinary scientist. His work merges biology, ecology, and thermodynamics to develop new ways to manage climates at every scale—from personal thermal comfort up to global weather systems.
