About Kipling Kipling Belcher

I have been employed with the State of MI since 1986, first as a corrections officer with the MI Dept. of Corrections and since 1989, as an officer with the MI Dept. of State Police. I have spent the majority of my career with the MSP in a plain clothes capacity, performing task force investigative work. From 2012 to 2015, I worked in a uniform command capacity at two different northern MI posts. It was an exciting and challenging time, readjusting to the core basics of police work and observing the technological advances that have occurred in uniform law enforcement work since I had been away. As of this past fall (2015), I have returned to the plainclothes enforcement portion of the agency, and am responsible for the oversight of the multi-jurisdictional task force teams in northern, lower Michigan, along with Tobacco Tax enforcement efforts. I am continuously seeking out opportunities for personal and professional growth and am honored to have reconnected and made the acquaintance of several people on this site.
