About Kip Cochran

I am a strategist transforming the deep subprime auto finance industry through building optimized organizational processes and innovative solutions. With over $1B of business closed and a 25+ year track record of maximizing business results, I bring proven experience to high-growth environments. My experience is diverse, ranging from serving as a dynamic leader in startup organizations to managing teams for leading global and publicly traded firms. Most recently, I served as President and Co-Founder of Texas Dealer Solutions (TDS), helping dealers develop capital strategies for efficiency in balance sheet management and risk mitigation. In addition to this strategic planning, I led transaction execution and account servicing excellence to grow a $100M loan portfolio from a start-up while being visionary in developing company identity and positioning TDS as an industry leader. Before founding TDS, I was the Executive Vice President of Mid-Atlantic Finance Co.(MAF), responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of the Houston Service Center consisting of a Bulk Acquisitions Team and Indirect Point of Sale Team. I also had the opportunity to serve as National Accounts Director for ReMark Capital, LLC (ReMark), a wholly owned subsidiary of Goldman Sachs\'s executive team. I led a team that acquired loan portfolios with average-size transactions ranging from $5M to more than $15M from Banks, Thrifts, Credit Unions, and Finance Companies. I also sourced Warehouse Aggregation Lines of Credit facilities with qualified prospects. Before this, I held leadership roles at Wells Fargo Financial across various teams. I enjoy contributing to and shaping the future of the industry. I am proud to have participated in capital panels and speaking engagements at national trade shows and events. I am an active HIADA, TIADA, FIADA, GIADA, AIADA and NIADA member. I am an avid sports fan, and I served as President of the Cypress Creek High School Athletic Booster Club (CCABC) during the academic years 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 and as Vice President during the academic years 2010/2011. I am proud to have served in the United States Navy from 1983 through 1988.

Evaluate newly originated retail installment contracts for advance eligibility, LTV discipline, and risk alignment. Partner directly with dealer principals, finance leaders, and ownership groups to structure sustainable originations aligned with institutional capital standards. Coordinate underwriting frameworks, advance structures, and recourse considerations with senior lending and equity stakeholders. Serve as the primary dealer-facing resource for origination capital education, onboarding, and relationship management.
