About Kiona Johnson
Kiona is a proud Philly native who is currently a senior at Bentley University, majoring in Business Economics and minoring in Public Policy. Kiona plans to use her education to advocate for marginalized communities in the face of climate change. Kiona is passionate about the importance of bringing unheard voices into the conversation of sustainability and the environment by using economics and public policy. Kiona is a part of a prestigious scholarship program at Bentley University called First-Generation Presidential Fellows (FPF) which supports and nurtures first-gen students of color. Kiona is currently a part of the Green Revolving fund which invests in sustainable projects around campus and has also interned as a Social Justice Coordinator with Bentley\'s Office of Sustainability. Kiona has also interned with Emerson Collective in Washington DC as a Strategic Planning and Development Intern. Recently, Kiona finished a rigorous summer program at Princeton University for students who are pursuing a career in Public Policy and attending Graduate School. Kiona hopes to continue educating herself on the intersection of race, economics, environment, and policy to create a positive impact domestically and internationally.
