   I have a passion for teaching others about Art and I want all my students to thrive in what they love. I have taught art in Charter Schools and my students have won awards such as Lions Gate (World Wide Art Competition), they have also been accepted into schools such as DASH and New World School of the Arts. I have also done private classes and portfolio development and review. As an art educator, I try to encourage my students to be bold, innovative, and take risks in their artwork. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, socially and creatively. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites the sharing of ideas. Giving students the opportunity to work individually and in-group discussion settings provides them the ability to exchange ideas and creative concepts. Equally important to self-discovery that I have experienced myself as a student and as a teacher is having the opportunity to study things that are meaningful and relevant to one\'s life and interests. Developing a curriculum around student interests, techniques, and creative projects that are fun and stimulating for creativity giving students the freedom to express themselves with guidelines fosters intrinsic motivation and stimulates the passion to learn.
