ABOUT KINGA KEILMAN

As the Senior Director of Volunteer Services, Workforce Development, and Clinical Rotations at UI Health, I have the privilege of leading a passionate team of over 1,100 volunteers and staff under the guidance of our Chief Administrative Officer. Together, we support every corner of the UI Health system, ensuring seamless and impactful operations across volunteer engagement and workforce development initiatives.I am honored to lead the largest hospital volunteer department in Illinois and the third largest in the nation. This distinction reflects our unwavering commitment to service excellence and community engagement.At the heart of my role is the daily management and strategic oversight of Volunteer Services. From recruitment and onboarding to training, placement, and ongoing engagement, I work hard to ensure that every volunteer experience reflects our shared values of compassion, excellence, and service. Alongside my incredible team, we strive to deliver a best-in-class program that strengthens UI Health’s mission and culture.Collaboration is essential. I work closely with departments across UI Health’s hospital and clinics, as well as other internal partners, to ensure every interaction, whether it’s a patient’s first welcome or a provider’s final moment with a family, is meaningful and positive.With a background in healthcare leadership, LEAN Six Sigma, program development, marketing, service excellence, and survey design, I bring a diverse and outcomes-focused approach to this work. I’m deeply committed to enhancing the patient experience and creating inclusive pathways for individuals to grow, contribute, and thrive within our healthcare community.For me, this work is more than a role, it’s a calling. And I’m truly grateful to help shape a healthcare environment centered on empathy, excellence, and impact.
