About Kim Wunner

I am an Italian American woman, LGBT identified. I spent 25 years in Philadelphia, navigating a wild marketing career. I have always been passionate about inclusivity and accessibility, motivated by strengths in our intersectionalities and the obstacles we have had to overcome. I started at one of the worlds largest nonprofit organizations, Planned Parenthood. This got me into Communications and I learned Marketing and Fundraising. My career came of age during the rise of digital marketing. I am fascinated by strategy and efficiencies which lead to executing multichannel campaigns, running automation programs with offshore development teams, and producing complex website migrations for higher education, financial and nonprofit clients. My experience in corporate environments revealed that these settings often adhere to linear and prescriptive roles of success while there is substantial potential for growth when diversity is genuinely embraced and encouraged. As a woman and member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have personally experienced the constraints imposed by rigid identity expectations, which can detract from one’s productivity, creativity, and overall well-being. This realization drove me to seek more effective approaches to fostering inclusivity.In response, I founded Kim Wunner Consulting and Coaching, through which I have worked both organizationally and individually to enhance DEI practices. My focus has been on helping organizations improve their inclusivity efforts and supporting individuals in presenting their authentic selves in their professional environments.I have devoted myself to studying the socio economic structures of capitalism and its demands on gender identities and the inequities it produces. I have learned how to overcome obstacles and leverage them to be our greatest assets and strengths. This work has led me to train with leaders all over the world to lean into their intellect - the full body intellect to erode the myth of being small. I am an accredited coach via the International Coaching Federation having trained in Presence Based Coaching. I am also a Reiki Practitioner and Kundalini Yoga Teacher. My style is strategic, curious and celebrates the intersections of the person. I go deep to reveal the greatest truth.I lead workshops and retreats for leadership. I also work 1:1 with a handful of clients. This work deepens presence, resilience and vitality while opening communication and trust. Please contact me for more information.
