About Kimberly M. Robertson

I started my career in A/E/C marketing by accident, working for an architecture firm providing graphic design support to the marketing director. In a matter of a few short months, I was thrown headfirst into all things marketing as the opportunity to lead the firm’s marketing initiatives across three offices was thrust upon me. It turned out that I loved the work. Since then, I\'ve lead the strategic, marketing direction of both a Landscape Architecture firm with five offices and a six-office MEP engineering firm. In 2017, I joined a large, global architecture/engineering firm, expanding my experience to large, high impact projects. Most recently, I married two passions: military communities and marketing. In this unique role, I work with a team focused on military readiness on installations throughout the world, providing strategic direction and marketing expertise to achieve success.Along the way, I have found that my marketing expertise spans many disciplines, including account management, proposal development, content creation, campaign programs, social media, and recruitment marketing – resulting in an all-encompassing strategic approach that marries art and science. Throughout my fifteen-plus year career, I have enjoyed continuous professional development, mentorship, and volunteerism, through many organizations, including leading the SMPS Colorado chapter as President, and as the SMPS Southwest Regional Conference Chair. I am a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) demonstrating a distinction of experience and expertise in marketing professional services. In addition, I am a graduate of the University of Maryland\'s Robert H. Smith School of Business SMPS University, an executive MBA level course for professional services marketers. In all of the companies I’ve worked for, I have been challenged by bringing teams together to find common goals and enhancing the corporate culture. However, I\'m always most motivated by the people I work with who share the same passion and values as I do. When I\'m not working, I enjoy the outdoors with my husband, visiting my daughter at UC Davis, or snuggling next to a fire with my dog. I fill any extra time with giving back to the military family community, through nonprofit volunteerism and advocacy. I will always be a marketing geek so ask me about my latest book read or podcast listen. I\'m sure I\'ve got a recommendation or two.Gallup Strengths: Restorative. Futuristic. Strategic. Learner.
