About Kim Kelly
Kim Kelly is a freelance journalist, author, and public speaker. She is currently a labor reporter at In These Times and frequent contributor to The Nation. Her work on labor, politics, and culture has also appeared in a number of publications, including the Washington Post, Esquire, the Guardian, the New York Times, the Baffler, Drop Site News, the Philadelphia Inquirer, GQ, Elle, the Appeal, the Columbia Journalism Review, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and many more. She was Teen Vogue\'s labor columnist from 20••••25Previously, she was the heavy metal editor at Noisey, VICE’s music vertical, and served on the original Vice Union editorial organizing and bargaining committees. Prior to that, she was a freelance music journalist, worked in music PR as the founder and head publicist of independent music PR company, Catharsis PR, and spent years on the road as a touring merch professional for the likes of Saint Vitus, Orange Goblin, Corrosion of Conformity, and more. She grew up deep in the South Jersey Pine Barrens, and currently lives in Philadelphia. Her first book,\'FIGHT LIKE HELL: The Unold History of American Labor,\' was published by One Signal/Simon & Schuster on April 26, 2022, and the young readers\' edition followed in 2025.
