About Kim Milstien

Healthcare is my life\'s work, and I am fortunate to do what I love every day. For more than 25 years I have led in acute hospital management including planning and business development, operations, strategy development and implementation, and quality. My work includes successful service as hospital president and chief executive officer in both private not-for-profit hospitals as well as public safety net hospitals. Prior to that, I spent considerable time as Executive Lead for Strategy and Business Development for a large organization in Los Angeles. I have had the privilege to lead award winning teams across my career, and serving our communities is always at the heart of our work. We have achieved significant improvements in the areas of hospital growth, program expansion, campus expansion including several new hospital building projects, physician and employee satisfaction, health care service and quality, community loyalty, brand strength and devotion to the hospital’s mission.As a Managing Principal Consultant, I have the honor to support healthcare clients across the country, helping to solve some of the most difficult problems they face. With a strong acute care and health system background, including a strong understanding of physician alignment, I have been able to support hospitals, health systems, teaching programs, counties, physician organizations, and health plans. At the heart, the most important work I do is improve care and systems of care for patients.Throughout this time, I have been deeply involved with the community and community service, including engagements with governing boards of local nonprofit organizations such as the local Education Foundation, YWCA and Soroptimist International. Served as a Board Member, and Chair for the Ventura County region, for the Hospital Association of Southern California, as well as the faculty for the Adventist Health Emerging Healthcare Leader Program to establish a curriculum for business planning.
