Manage various aspects of the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) awarding designation as a Comprehensive Cancer Center by the National Institutes of Health.Perform and coordinate duties for the most nationally high-profile project in the Center. This includes all tasks and activities related to the Cancer Center Support Grant competing applications, non-competing continuations, and supplement submissions, including but not limited to: document preparation, data queries and production of reports, preparing grant budget, and writing and editing of grant sections. Frontline contact for senior leadership, program and shared resource leadership providing guidance on NCI guidelines, including analysis and notification of changing guidelines and required responses. Analyze current NCI CCSG guidelines and make recommendations to senior leadership based on impact of changes to guidelines; review and analyze other related information and regulations regarding renewal and continuation submissions; plan submission processes accordingly.Support the daily business activities including financial management of all CCSG budgets, internal pilot project awards and (e.g, cost transfer approvals and expense approvals): process and track financial transactions; review statements to monitor expenses and ensure they are appropriate and allowable within the grant budget and period, and adhere to relevant policies and regulations; review expenditures compared with budget; provide interpretation and analysis of financial statements; reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate and appropriate financial reporting to sponsors.
