ABOUT KIMIA JALALI

Kimia Jalali, MHA, is a Regional Consultant at Kaiser Permanente Southern California, where she partners with executive leaders across 16 medical centers to advance system-wide improvements in hospital operations, care delivery, and utilization management. Her work focuses on process improvement, standardization, and leading education efforts in utilization management. She also supports the regional Bioethics Program and contributes to initiatives that enhance quality and efficiency across the enterprise.Since August 2023, Kimia has facilitated 20 new hire training sessions for inpatient and emergency department case managers—streamlining onboarding and promoting best practices in care coordination at Kaiser Permanente.Kimia holds a Master of Health Administration from USC’s Sol Price School of Public Policy, where she also earned a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certificate and completed a consulting Operational Improvement course where she led a project to improve efficiencies at the LAC + USC Medical Center. She also holds a Financial Accounting Certificate from Harvard Business School Online.She brings over seven years of experience in healthcare, including a residency in Patient and Family Experience at Norris Cancer Hospital (Keck Medicine of USC); and at UC Irvine Health, where she supported patient experience efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic and helped drive efficiency-focused initiatives at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.Outside of healthcare, Kimia has taught Persian dance for over a decade to more than 300 children at the Iranian School of San Diego—promoting cross-cultural connection through the arts.Specialties: training facilitation, process improvement, operational standardization, patient experience, Microsoft office suite.
