About Kimberly Smardz

I discovered my love of marketing at an early age. I was intrigued by the way someone could be influenced by product and brand recognition. The job market was limited after college, I accepted a non-traditional job that would establish my love of learning new things, and build a foundation for me to understand the consumer banking process. I was asked to support a massive transformational effort to offer an online account opening function that would challenge the status quo in the banking industry, and establish my love of digital products forever.My experience was transferrable to work on other digital transformations around the organization. A huge gap was identified where the employee experience was a place that was lacking. I was asked to represent IT and replace the HR systems with Workday in my organization. This challenged me beyond my comfort zone. It opened my eyes to the employee experience journey, and the impacts and effectiveness it can have on people in an organization. I\'m thankful for opportunities that continue to challenge me. I enjoy people leadership and continuous learning. I love my family, sports, and celebrating in success and failures on and off the field or the office. I enjoy working at a global company that exposes me to various cultures and needs that vary across the world.
