Kimberly brings over 8 years of experience in opioid misuse prevention and response, in the non-profit, state and federal government sectors. Her expertise in grant management (DFC, CARA, SPF-Rx, STR, and OD2A) and team leadership has led to impressive achievements, including a significant increase in community readiness from Stage 2: Denial/Resistance (little recognition or concern of the issue) to Stage 4: Preplanning (the community recognizes that action is needed) to address opioid misuse within her community. Kimberly has also witnessed a decrease in the 30-day use of Rx pain medication in grades 6,8,9, and 10 in her previous role.In addition to her expertise in public health and grant management, she is a National Certified Counselor actively pursuing licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
