ABOUT KIMBERLY POSTER

As Chief Legal Counsel, Kimberly supports AUM Law\'s lawyers and clerks to advise clients on all aspects of the investment management industry. She has advised both domestic and international issuers on establishing and maintaining investment products, including pooled funds, closed-end funds, retail mutual funds, limited partnerships and labour-sponsored investment funds. Kimberly has experience with acquisitions and divestitures of fund management companies, and has provided Canadian and foreign managers with advice on registration and compliance matters. She has also represented issuers and dealers in a number of transactions, including public offerings and private placements, plans of arrangements, take-over bids and cross border debt exchanges. She advises clients with respect to continuous disclosure obligations, unitholder communications, preparations for annual and special meetings and general securities law matters. Kimberly has spoken at industry conferences concerning private placements, the creation and marketing of hedge funds and linked notes, as well as on cross-border financings.
