I started as a Cultural Legacy and Historical Consultant, then I was promoted to an employee and a new position. I do community engagement, perform historical research and then write the guiding narrative for the entire $1.5 billion dollar project, from the development processes to the design of the large, open space that will serve as a private park, open to the public. I work directly with the landscape design team, write the history for the public signs, lobby, and help shape the images and public art that will populate the space, with a specific focus to exceed community demands around MWDBE percentages and arts entrepreneurs. This is a contested space that we want to be a new, celebrated space.
